Urgent Need for Low Cost Toilets
The task of providing water & sanitation facilities to the camp is being managed by the Rotary Club of Colombo Regency and they need all the help you can give. We understand that presently there is adequate supply of water. However, the need for Toilets is extremely urgent.
Other than providing a basic human need, a proper toilet will prevent the spread of disease at these camps. We also need to setup dedicated areas for bathing as well as washing.
The initial requirement is to build 50 Toilets, to be followed by another 50 and the provision of bathing & wishing facilities for the residents of the camp. The approximate cost of one toilet is
LKR 17,500/-.
The Rotary Club of Colombo Regency has already secured funds for 50 toilets and the construction has begun. We solicit your urgent assistance to fund one or more toilets. All donations in cash or kind will receive an official acknowledgement from the Club.
Please contact President Nayana Serasinghe (+94 77 738 5575, nayanas@dinotait.com), PP Mario Perumal (+94 77 737 1204, mario@m3force.net) or PP Bary Jaleel (+94 77 730 0239, baryjaleel@yahoo.com) and let them know how you can help.
